The Face Behind Curl Studio
I, Nya, am completely fascinated by curls. Not just my own but through all different types: kinks, coils, curls and waves. I think it's so beautiful to see that everyone's hair is different and every curl curls differently.
I certainly wasn't always that enthusiastic about curls. On the contrary, I had a love-hate relationship with focus on the 'hate' part. I didn't like my curls at all. I think part of this was because I didn't know how to deal with it. I looked for all kinds of ways to manipulate my curls. When I was 18, I started seeing curly women on social media more regularly, and then I became curious about what my natural hair could look like. I decided not to relax my hair again and so my natural hair journey began.
